Word Pop ("the App") is developed by DCJ Studio (Duane Clouse) ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what information the App collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. It applies to the Word Pop mobile app on Android (and iOS, if released).
None. Word Pop has no sign-up, login, or account system, and never asks for your name, email address, phone number, or any other contact information.
The App saves your level, coins, hint count, streaks, and which puzzles/packs you've completed using on-device storage. This data:
The App has an optional Backup & Restore feature that turns your local progress into a text code. You choose where to save that code (for example, in a notes app or an email to yourself) and you choose when to paste it back in. We never see, receive, or store this code — it never leaves your device except through actions you take yourself (like copying it somewhere).
The App shows ads (rewarded video and, occasionally, interstitial ads) using Google AdMob. To serve, personalize, and measure these ads, Google AdMob and its partners may automatically collect information such as:
This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us, under Google's Privacy Policy and, for ad partners, Google's Partner Policy. Where required (for example, users in the EEA, UK, or under similar regional rules), the App will ask for your consent before showing personalized ads, and you can change your ad preferences at any time in your device's ad settings (e.g., "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android).
We do not use any analytics or crash-reporting service at this time. If that changes, we'll update this policy before the change takes effect.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your information for any purpose beyond what's described above.
We don't share data with anyone, because we don't collect any data ourselves beyond what's described above. The only outside party with any visibility into App usage is Google, through the AdMob SDK, as described in the Advertising Data section.
Word Pop is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information (for example, through a support email), contact us using the details below and we will address it.
Local game progress is retained on your device for as long as the App is installed, or until you clear its data. We do not retain any copy of it ourselves.
Because your game data never leaves your device (aside from the backup code you choose to save yourself), there is no server-side transmission of your progress to secure. We rely on your device's own operating system protections. The Google AdMob SDK's data handling is governed by Google's own security practices.
We may update this policy as the App changes (for example, if we add analytics or new features that affect data collection). We'll update the effective date above when we do. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
